Previous and Current Research

Our group is conducting the research in ESP using interdisciplinary approaches, theoretical knowledge of stylistics, lexicology, grammar, computer studies, mathematics, etc.

Future Projects and Goals

Our group is interested in investigating the problems encountered by students in using English in the math classes. It is important for us to understand the perceptions, knowledge, attitudes and readiness of students towards the learning of mathematics in English. Our group intends to determine students’ English language command as well as problems that they might face using English in the math classes. Our group will focus on the problem of coping with the double demand of transmitting content as well as language in an accurate and effective manner.
